August 22 2009 build
| This is the article of a development build of Skyscraper Simulator.|
It has been confirmed a good-faith contribution to the Skyscraper wiki.
This build has the fix for the chime direction bug, has support for manual position offsets for elevator buttons (so you can now position the buttons anywhere, relative of it's grid location), a fix for custom button sizes on button panels, support for mounting zip files into virtual directories via the Mount command, the ability to spin the camera on the Z axis by holding down Alt and pressing either Page Up or Page Down (I think 1.0 had this ability and possibly the old VB6 branch of 1.1, but was never put into the C++ version until now), and the "120" button in the Glass Tower's service elevator has been changed to "100", since the blu-ray edition of the movie is much more clear, and the button is indeed 100. I also updated the script guide and readme file for the new options.
From the changelog:
-elevator panel buttons now support position offsets
-fixed manual sizing parameters of the panel buttons
-added support for mounting zipfiles into virtual directories
-added the ability to spin the camera (Z-axis rotation)
Here's the syntax changes (they are fully backwards-compatible):
AddFloorButton panel_number, texturename, row, column, floor, width, height and is now (last 2 parameters are optional): AddFloorButton panel_number, texturename, row, column, floor, width, height[, hoffset, voffset]
AddControlButton panel_number, texturename, row, column, type, width, height
and is now:
AddControlButton panel_number, texturename, row, column, type, width, height[, hoffset, voffset]
Mac and Linux builds are on the way.
