August 27 2009 build
| This is the article of a development build of Skyscraper Simulator.|
It has been confirmed a good-faith contribution to the Skyscraper wiki.
I'll be leaving on Saturday the 29th for my trip, and so this is my pre-trip build. This build has a finished Camera Control window, which can be access by the control panel (the button for it used to be grayed out). This lets you control almost all aspects of the simulator camera, including setting it's position, moving it in any way possible, changing gravity, etc. I also added an experimental freelook (mouse look) feature, which can be turned on and off by pressing F5. Also, the main startup screen now works on Linux and Mac, and should work better on Windows too (if you've been using Windows and the startup screen was messed up, this might fix it).
Mac and Linux builds are being made too.
Also note that the freelook mode doesn't work properly on Mac, because Apple forbids software from moving mouse pointers (Skyscraper needs to center the pointer for it to work), and so the centering code that calls wxWidgets does nothing on that platform.
