This is the article of a development build of Skyscraper Simulator.
It has been confirmed a good-faith contribution to the Skyscraper wiki.

This build finally has a configuration system, where you can configure Skyscraper from the skyscraper.ini file (and do things like start it up without the music, autoload a building, start up fullscreen, skip the main screen, change default gravity, change sound driver, change window size, etc). Fullscreen support has been added, and can be turned on and off by pressing F10. Zoom support has also been added (changing of the FOV angle), and is done by either using the plus or minus keys on the numeric keypad, or by setting the angle in the camera control window. Support for loading a cropped texture has been added with the LoadCropped command, and also texture overlays have been added with the AddOverlay command (commands are all documented in designguide.html).

From the changelog: -added support for cropping and overlaying textures with the LoadCropped and AddOverlay commands
-added configuration file support
-added support for zooming in and out (FOV angles)
-added support for starting up without the control panel
-added fullscreen support, activated by F10

If you're having sound issues, you can switch to the OpenAL system by first installing OpenAL (this is for the Windows installer):
http://connect.creativelabs.com/developer/Wiki/OpenAL%20Installer%20for%20Windows.aspx

and then opening up skyscraper.ini, optionally commenting out the "software" line, and uncommenting the "openal" line.

OpenAL support currently isn't available on Mac, due to issues with building the library.

Now I'll be working a little bit on the building models (mainly the Sears Tower), and then I'll release Alpha 5.
